6 Must-Follow Pinterest Account for Marketing Tips, by Kristina Kopplin

Are you interested in taking advantage of Pinterest as one of your small business' social media marketing tools? If you're already there, terrific. If not, you've got a lot of catching up to do!
Hands down, Pinterest is one of my favorite content sharing services of all time. It's a great place for visual people to share their favorite things and discover new events, interests and hobbies. Also, the latest feature allows users to create place pinboards that prove to be very handy when planning a vacation, creating a city guide, or saving your must-see spots for your future world traveling endeavors.

Speaking of place boards, this feature releases a world of opportunities for small businesses located all throughout the world. For example, small businesses can leverage place boards as city tour guides to bring new customers to the area and hopefully into their own store(s).

Here are some of my favorite must-follow Pinterest accounts for the latest marketing information and tips.

5 Powerful Ways to Boost Your Confidence by Peter Economy @ BizzWriter

Self-confident people are admired by others and inspired confidences in others.  They face their fears head-on and tend to be risk takers. They know that no matter what obstacles come their way, they have the ability to get past them. Self-confident people tend to see their lives in a positive light even when things aren't going so well, and they are typically satisfied with and respect themselves.

Wouldn't it be amazing to have this kind of self-confidence, every day of the week? Guess what? You can:
"Low self-confidence isn't a life sentence. Self-confidence can be learned, practiced and mastered--just like any other skill. Once you master it, everything in your life will change for the better."--Barrie Davenport

It comes down to one simple question: If you don't believe in yourself, how do you expect anybody else to?

Try some of the tips listed below. Don't just read them and put them on the back burner. Really begin to practice them daily, beginning today. You might have to fake it at first and merely appear to be self-confident, but eventually you will begin to feel the foundation of self-confidence grow within you. With some time and practice (this is not an overnight phenomenon), you too can be a self-confident person both inside and out, whom others admire and "Yes" to.

1. Stay away from negativity and bring on the positivity

This is the time to really evaluate your inner circle, including friends and family. This is a tough one, but it's time to seriously consider getting away form those individuals who put you down and shred your confidence. Even a temporary break from Debbie Downer can make a huge difference and help you make strides toward more self-confidence. Be positive, even if you're not feeling it quite yet. Put some positive enthusiam into your interactions with other and hit the ground running, excited to begin your next project. Stop focusing on the problems in your life and instead begin to focus on solutions and make positive changes.

2. Change your body language and image

There is where posture, smiling, eye contact and speech slowly come into play. Just the simple act of pulling your shoulders back give others the impression that you are a confident person. Smiling will not only make you feel better, but will make other feel more comfortable around you. Imagine a person with good posture and a smile and you'll be envisioning someone who is self-confident.

Look at the person you are speaking to, not at your shoes--keeping eye contact shows confidence. Last, speak slowly. Research has proved that those who take the time to speak slowly and clearly feel more self-confidence and appear more self-confident to others. The added bonus is they will be able to understand what you are saying. Continue here...

25 Ways to Grow Your Social Media Presence, by John Rampton

When it comes to social media, everyone wants in on the action. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Google Plus are all highly active social media networks. Not to mention the countless other little sites on the web today. Everyone wants to gain social media recognition for their business.

Growing Your Social Media Presence the Right Way

Having a good, or great social media presence can help your business grow like wildflowers. But, this will only happen after you develop a large following and learn how to give them what they really want. Here are some great ways any business owner or marketer can increase their social media presence and help their business grow.

1. Identify Goals and Objectives

The first step in growing your social media presence is to identify your goals and objectives. This means make sure you know what you re going after-before you starting posting. Ensure you know how each platform works, what audience you can reach where, and what your objectives are you will be off to a great start.

2. Let them Know you are Human

Let your audience see a softer side. This means interacting on your social media accounts often. Very often! This doesn't mean just throwing up a link to your article and hoping someone will read or click on it. This means really getting on there and interacting with everyone. Respond to posts form your audience and interact when they show interest. Show them who you are and your audience will feel more connected to you-and they will want to read other articles or visit your website.

3. Understand Their Needs

Understanding what your audience needs will help you be able to interact with them or more intimate level. Knowing what they want to read about and what they believe in will help you understand what you need to give to them. Once you understand this, you can give the everything they want-which means bringing them to your website to see what your business is all about.

4. Include the Icons on Your Website

Make sure to include the icons of your social media networks on your personal website. This will make it easier for those coming to read your stuff to like and follow you. Don't make them track you down-make as simple for them to connect with you. I have started even doing this for my John Rampton Wikipedia Page as well.

5. Link Your Profile to Your Website

Link your Facebook, Twitter or any of your social media profiles to your website. Just like you want to provide links on your website to your profiles, you also want to link to your website so people can easily learn more about your company.

6. Share with Everyone

Share your social media accounts with everyone you know. Don't be spammy-but don't be afraid to share. By doing this, they will know you have a presence on Facebook, Twitter etc. and they can share them with everyone they know. This is simple way to get the word out.

7. Create an Integrated Social Media Strategy

You want to make sure each social media network you are in involved in serves a purpose. You can ensure this by starting a marketing calendar. Make sure to add all to your upcoming events, blog posts, and everything else you decide to do with your business calendar. This will help you stay organized and understand how each of your social media accounts will bring in more untapped sectors for your business.

8. Produce Valuable Content

You also want to ensure you are producing the most valuable content-not only into your blog but also your social networking accounts. Have the best content helps showcase your business and website, which brings in more customers and more money.

9.  Engage with Everyone

You want to engage with those who post on your social media pages. This means when someone posts something, talk back to them. Let them know you are reading what they are posting and you are listening to what they want. Then, give them more of what they want to keep them posting on your pages. Continue reading...
